Chris Jackson was probably born politically aware. He began his involvement with Nationalism in the nineteen eighties at the age of sixteen when he joined the National Front and was there with John Tyndall in the early days of the BNP.

Through his hard work and commitment to the cause he rose to become North West regional organiser giving his time and effort freely while all the while financing himself by full time employment. BNP branches in Oldham, Rochdale and Keighley owed their existence to his energy and
organisational ability. When Burnley had its first Councillors elected Chris was always there to advise, support and assist them and never missed attending every Full Council meeting throughout the tenure of the BNP.

Not only did Burnley benefit from his unstinting support he was on the front line during the successful Robin Evans campaign for the Mill Hill ward in Blackburn and was at the forefront organising the Clitheroe BNP branch to oppose the establishment of a Mosque in the Ribble Valley. More recently he has been active in his local area back under the NF banner. To this day his belief in the Nationalist cause remains undiminished.
